COPPER CHIMNEY

My wandering mystic self  always searched for something mystic.

Copper Chimney....
While climbing the concrete steps towards the restaurant of Hotel Alwin in Tuticornglanced at the name of the restaurant.. Copper Chimney Roof Top Restaurant.

There near the right road a huge paid up cut out of Chief Minister Jayalalitha was kept on an electric pole.  It is very normal to find such giant posters all around the state ofTamilnadu. A kind of gimmick, one of my Tamil friends told me that even when it is funny to self promote through paid up posters..

My mystic mind or heart did not bother much about a huge self portrait of Jayalalitha or even Karunanidhi as i was in search of Tuticorn, the pear city and about the conch shells i can collect from a beach as a precious memento to think about how beautiful it is to find sea shells from beaches all over the world.

Thermal Power Station, Ambedkar Road, Port Hospital and there Hotel Alwin and its Copper Chimney roof top  restaurant.

I wanted to know who named this restaurant while browsing at their new year special menu..

 Special Buffet

1. Soup  (Without Soup we cannot start a menu these days in India)

2. Starters

Frispy Veg Fry (Start to end there we need to pay)
Rabbit Roast... (wrong place to find anything mystic)

3. Main Course

    Turkey Biriani
    Veg Pulao
    Paneer Butter Masala
    Chicken Masala
    Alwin Special  Veg Curry
Choice of Bread (Indian Roti, Nan)
   Curd Rice (Plain Indian)

4. Assorters

    Green Salad
    Aloo Chart
    Roasted Papad

5. Dessert

    Gajjar Halva
    Pineapple Pudding
    Badam Milk

I did know how to start and end in a restaurant where rabbit roasts are served as starters and i skipped their special package and their exorbitant displayed price tag..not worth for the ambiance and the overly artificially decorated walls and flashy lights..

Copper Chimney there the only attraction i found was in that name.. Nothing mystic other than there in its inner compartments.

Apart from the huge cutouts of Jayalalitha and Copper Chimney there nothing i found  to add in my diary. When i crossing Tamraparni River Bridge I never thought i find a man with a 6 ft trident pierced through his cheeks in Thiruchendur. I understood that there at certain cross roads people go insane and embrace a fanatic craze.  A few go behind wealth, power forgetting the line of balance. My conscience cautioned me that even i should not turn as a poetic fanatic even when i loved to be one like that.

There again i found cutouts of Jayalalitha and Karunanidhi all around that i wondered what i see better than this in Tamilnadu and yes i found a place Urvi a heavenly beach....

Urvi was an unexplored beach and there i found  a school group from Nagarcovil..

Children spoke to me and i asked their names

Bevita
Angel,
Sahaya Mary
Alokakusuma
Angel Mary

Southern Coastal names..

From Copper Chimney to Urvi.. musical seashore..
beautiful white sand and life..
i picked up a few sea shells in my hand to keep aside in my precious natural museum.
And there on the white sand shore i walked alongside the ocean....
Life turned out to be a poem on that shore..
